In this project in Farsta, VOLUX installed a new felt roof on a beautiful greenhouse with a timber frame and large glass sections. The building sits in a natural garden setting, where the new grey felt roof blends in with its surroundings. The aim was to create a durable, weatherproof roofing solution that also preserves the greenhouse’s modern and natural character. The new roof provides effective protection against rain, snow and moisture, while contributing to the building’s clean overall look.
During the installation, the focus was on creating an even, watertight and durable roof surface. The roof was fitted with a new bitumen-based waterproof layer in a subtle grey shade that complements the greenhouse’s timber details and glass walls. Particular care was taken with joints, roof edges and connections to ensure a professional finish and minimise the risk of future water ingress. A felt roof is a practical option for smaller buildings like this one and offers reliable protection when installed correctly.
The result is an elegant greenhouse where the grey felt roof creates an attractive contrast with the warm timber frame and large glass sections. The roof’s clean lines enhance the building’s modern appearance and blend naturally into the garden setting. With carefully executed felt installation, the greenhouse now has a hard-wearing roof with every chance of a long lifespan. VOLUX carries out professional felt roof installation and re-roofing in Farsta and throughout the Stockholm area, on both smaller buildings and larger properties.

FAQ
It is rarely possible to tell from the ground. Moss and the odd broken tile can usually be fixed, but if the underlay has become brittle or moisture has reached the roof boarding, a replacement is often the better long-term option. We’re happy to come out and assess your roof, and we’ll give you an honest answer about the most sensible way forward.
Yes, if you own the property and the work counts as repair, maintenance or renovation. This includes roof replacement, re-roofing and most repairs. The deduction applies to the labour cost and is deducted directly from the invoice. Housing associations (BRF), however, cannot use the ROT deduction for work on the association’s roof.
With a complete re-roofing, you receive a 30-year watertight roof warranty. For other types of work, the warranty is stated in the quote and the contract, so you know exactly what applies before the work begins. The manufacturers’ product warranties also apply to the materials we install.
