Roof installation in Stockholm takes more than an attractive top layer. How long a roof lasts depends on everything hidden beneath the surface: underlay, battens, ventilation and the joints around chimneys and penetrations. VOLUX has been installing roofs for more than ten years. We’ve built roofs on everything from houses and holiday homes to apartment buildings for housing associations. Our roofers choose the method and materials based on the structure of the house, not on whatever happens to be in stock.
Planning a new roof? We’re happy to visit, look at the conditions and provide a free quote with a clear specification. We carry out roof installation across the Stockholm area, as well as in Mälardalen.
Roof installation for all roof types
Whether your roof is to be made of metal, clay tiles or felt, we take care of the whole chain, from removing the old covering to the last ridge tile. Our work includes:
Before
After
Sharp temperature swings, wet autumns and heavy winter snow put every roof to the test. That’s why, when planning a roof installation, we review the roof pitch, load-bearing capacity and how water and snow will be drained away before choosing the material. We work with proven products from established manufacturers and install them according to their instructions, so that the product warranties apply in full. With a complete re-roofing, we also provide a 30-year watertight roof warranty. All work is documented with photos, so you can follow what’s being done even when you’re not on site.
If you’re installing a new roof on a house, terraced home or holiday home that you own, you can use the ROT tax deduction. The deduction applies to the labour cost, not to materials, skips or travel. It is deducted directly from the invoice, so you don’t have to wait for a refund.
We clearly specify the labour cost in the quote, so you know what the deduction covers before work begins. As the contractor, we then apply for the payment from the Swedish Tax Agency. Please note that the ROT deduction does not apply to new builds, and that roof installation on a housing association’s property does not give individual members a deduction. Get in touch if you’re unsure what applies to your roof.

FAQ
It is rarely possible to tell from the ground. Moss and the odd broken tile can usually be fixed, but if the underlay has become brittle or moisture has reached the roof boarding, a replacement is often the better long-term option. We’re happy to come out and assess your roof, and we’ll give you an honest answer about the most sensible way forward.
Yes, if you own the property and the work counts as repair, maintenance or renovation. This includes roof replacement, re-roofing and most repairs. The deduction applies to the labour cost and is deducted directly from the invoice. Housing associations (BRF), however, cannot use the ROT deduction for work on the association’s roof.
With a complete re-roofing, you receive a 30-year watertight roof warranty. For other types of work, the warranty is stated in the quote and the contract, so you know exactly what applies before the work begins. The manufacturers’ product warranties also apply to the materials we install.
