New roof with black concrete tiles on a house in Vallentuna

When the tiles on the house in Vallentuna began to crumble and the roof could no longer be trusted, the owners decided to rebuild it from the ground up. At the same time, they wanted to give the house a more modern feel. The work began with stripping off the old roof, so we could examine the timber beneath. Damaged roof boarding was replaced, and the entire roof then received a new base of underlay and battens. Finally, the black concrete tiles were laid, with particular attention paid to the ridge, chimney and every roof penetration, as these are where a roof most often starts to leak.
