Classic metal roof – re-roofing with standing seam metal in Nacka

The roof on the house in Nacka had reached the end of its life, and the owners were looking for a replacement that matched the home’s classic style and was easy to maintain. They chose red standing seam metal, a choice that has defined homes around Stockholm for generations. Once the old roof had been removed, we inspected the roof deck and prepared it for the metal. Strip by strip, the metal was laid from the ridge down to the eaves and joined with watertight seams. Around the chimney, the dormers and every angle of the house, we shaped the flashings on site so that every transition was watertight.

During the work, new snow guards and a new roof ladder were also installed. This makes the roof safer to work on and protects people below when the snow lies heavy. The red colour gives the house warmth and character, and the straight seams create a harmonious pattern across the entire roof. The house now has a roof that will stand up to wind and weather for decades, with a look that never goes out of style.
